Review: Rusty Nailed by Alice Clayton

Rusty Nailed - Alice Clayton

More like 4.5 because it was a bit slow in the beginning. Other than that I really enjoyed this book with Clive he was so cute with how he bonded with Wallbanger (Simon). I really like how we can see their relationship after about a year. How we got to learn more about Simon's past and where he came from. Now the rest of the series awaits.

Review:From the First Touch Box Set

From the First Touch #3 (Jayme Sullivan series): Novelette - Gwendalyn Fox

At first, I heard a lot of mixed things about this book after the author asked me to review her book. It really intrigued me to read it. So here are my thoughts on it. I really like the plot it made it feel realistic with the storyline of the meeting will she's doing an interview but I can't really happen in real life so it made the story more believable. I also really like the author's writing style and how he describes the world that the characters are in. When I was reading the scenes in Paris I could see them perfectly in my head as if it was happening to me. Another thing about the story is that it just kind of captivated me in a way I did not expect that after I started reading I had to keep on going. I liked the characters, but I wish there would have had more time for them to grow and develop more because it feels a little rushed.I did not really get to know the characters just kind of see little glimpses inside their heads. So what I would've liked is a longer story with more character development. I also really would have liked if the story was a little bit better paced so I think it would have been better if the story was prolonged a little bit. So in the end, it doesn't feel quite as first and it makes more sense to the readers. Overall I think it is a great book for me but I'm also just not really sure of my feelings about it. It was really sweet but kind of predictable. So I would recommend it for somebody who wants something quite fast-paced and easy to read. I would give it a 4 out of 5 stars.

Note: This was an ARC copy provided by the author in my thoughts on this book are mine alone.

Review: Close Remembrance (The Krinar Chronicles, #3) by Anna Zaires

Close Remembrance - Anna Zaires

This is my face right now...

I love this book. The story is so passionate. The world is amazing. I need more Krinar please. I would love more Mia and Korum too.

Review: Archer's Voice by Mia Sheridan

Archer's Voice - Mia Sheridan

I would give this book a billion stars if I could. It was amazing, inspirational and heartwarming/heartbreaking story. Both Archer and Bree captivated me from the first minute of this book. Archer is such a good guy and after what he has been through he is still a kind and caring person who maybe is naive about the world. Bree is compassionate and sees the good in those around her even after a tragedy 6 months prior to the story. The way Bree goes out of her way to be friends and sign with Archer are things we can all learn from. It really made me think a lot about how I treated others in the past and how can I be like Bree. When they meet it is almost like destiny pushed them together. So throughout the novel they help one another with their demons and maybe fall in love while doing it. I don't want to spoil anything so I am just going to put my favorite quotes.

I HIGHLY RECAMEND THIS BOOK IF YOU LIKE UGLY LOVE by Colleen Hoover.

Review: Beyond These Walls by J.L Berg- 5/5 stars

Beyond These Walls (The Walls Duet Book 2) - J.L. Berg, Jovana Shirley, Ami Deason

This entire review have spoilers in it so if you have not read the first book do not read this.

Goodreads Summery:

Happily ever after.

That was what we were supposed to have.

Pudding cups, sandy toes and a lifetime of making each and every one of our dreams come true—that is the future I’d promised her.

I could see it in my dreams, hold it in my hands, but then I watched as all of our hopes and wishes suddenly slipped through my fingers like sand.

I thought the worst was behind us, but what if we’d just delayed the inevitable?

They say love can overcome any obstacle. But can it survive death?

The breathtaking love story of Lailah and Jude concludes in Beyond These Walls.

After finishing the last book I  was a total emotional mess so actually I went back and read a few books that I have read previously before continuing on with this book. I was really excited to see what happened after the last scene in the last book. In the beginning it is not quite as emotional Thank God because I was not sure if I could hold it together with the whole book being emotional again. This book makes you learn so much about life and how we must live it the best you can. I honestly think this story is super inspirational for everyone. Have to do with overcoming everything in life even when the odds are against you. It's also about learning to live with the one person who can make you who you are.

I was really happy to see Jude and Lailah growing up together and actually having a life together. Over the last 2 years they have overcome so much and Lailah has changed a bit from who she you yousto be. She was super naive,  sheltered and  innocent. Now she has become this beautiful woman who has so much spunk and personality even more than she used to. You get to see how she's grown with in all this time from when the last book ended till the end of this book amazing to see what she has accomplished. Then we come to Jude he is pretty much the same as he was in the first novel. Although he is a little bit less protective and overbearing now that layla is healthier than she was. The beginning of the story before the wedding there is a lot of stress for the couple so it definitely takes a toll on them and their situations.  Then with Jude in the business while Lailah is in school they have less time together. There were some shocks that I thought could happen (baby) and threaten Lailahs safety. This was the big conflict in the novel especially for Jude because he has a child coming and then there is the chance that if Lailah keeps it she can die. The ending was so cute with Lailahs someday list. This whole story made me so sad, so I cried alot. These are the quotes I like:

I highly recommend this book it is amazing love story.

Update: October

I just wanted to update you guys on what's going on right now. I know I haven't been posting as much as I was here for a while, but I hope to get back on track here in a few weeks when I have some days off from school and I'm not quite busy. So I got really sick on the first week of school so I was home a lot and I can do anything and with school starting I got really really busy so I hope to get back to blogging and reading some more. I hope to start doing my wrap up again here and adding in my favorite and least favorite for each month which I need to go back to like March to do that so yeah I'll take me to get caught up but I hope it will get there pretty soon. so keep an eye out for those. And now for my challenges I want to update you guys on how I'm doing on those and how much more I need to do. So at the beginning of the year I was going to do the book to movies book challenge , but I decided to take it away so I can focus on my other challenges and I knew I would never really read a book before I watch the movie. So then I have completed my series challenges. This series contained the criteria of reading 5 Series,  5 trilogies and 1 doology. Now I have officially read 7 series, 26 trilogies and 9 do doologys. For my zodiac challenge I haven't updated it also I will try to update that pretty soon here because I think I have pretty much read something for every one of the challenges. Another challenge I had was my letter challenge this challenge has been really hard because I need to find letters that goes like last name of the author or the title of the book. So now I only have one more book to find for X. I hope to have up some of you that I have been working on up here pretty soon and some new list up as well. So keep an eye out for those.

Happy reading,

ROSE

Review: Within These Walls by J.L Berg- 5/5 stars

Within These Walls - J.L. Berg

Goodreads Synopsis :

Within these walls, he became my solace, my sanctuary and my strength.

I am not strong. I am just a survivor of circumstance.

Isn’t that what we all do? Survive?

Each of us has our own set of circumstances to muddle through. Mine are just more…complicated. Born with a severe heart defect, I’ve seen the inside of a hospital room more than my own bedroom.

I was drowning, a prisoner to the illness that owned me, until he appeared. He thinks he’s blocked out the world with his tattoos and hard exterior, but I see the real Jude, the one he so desperately wants to forget.

But is he the answer to my prayers or will he break my already damaged heart forever?

My name is Lailah Buchanan, and this is our story of hope, redemption and sacrificing it all for the one you love.

Wow that was an emotional ride I am seriously overwhelmed by this book yet it made me feel so amazing. I knew going into this book is going to be a really emotional , but I did not expect it to get me to cry from the very first chapter. Really connected to the story, it was so unique. Some of the way that is unique what that I never really read a book about a kid or young adult who had to live with this chronic disease most of their live. I found it super unique also because of the heart problem she goes through and you actually get to see what happens for people in real life.

I loved how Lailah keeps a list of things that she wants to do someday if she somehow survives thousands of things that she wanted to do but was never able to. Lailah honestly is one of my favorite characters I've read about in a long time. She loves to read, is super optimistic, naive but smart, able to accept anyone as they come, has a fun spirit and also has a forgiving heart. Then Jude is truly an amazing guy who he blames everything on himself and retreated into himself after his fiance died 3 years prior to the start of the story. He is so protective of Lailah that really makes you realize just how much a person need to another one. At first Jude is very reclusive and he is really broken ,but after he meets Lailah he is so kind, thoughtful, caring, smart, and starts feeling again.

I also love how they meet with Jude secretly coming in every night and leaving Leila little pudding cups for her to find in the morning after he first sees her eating one with her finger the day before. After he comes in a few times he starts to help her with this list that she wrote of all these things she wants to do someday that she's never been able to that I mentioned above. Together they start a friendship while Jude helps Layla complete her list. Through this friendship Layla and Jude start to become closer and help each other right there demons. This is a story of hope, redemption and sacrificing it all for the one you love. How far would you go? What would you do for the person who brought you back from the living dead? How far would you go to help the person you loved?

Favorite quotes or scenes:

I highly recommend this book if you aren't afraid shedding a few tears. So I would not recommend reading this in public because of all the water works in this book. I am currently reading the sequel Beyond These Walls.
5 out of 5 stars.

Review: The Reckoning (Hard to Resist #2) by S.L. Scott - 4.75/5 stars

The Reckoning - S.L. Scott

I honestly thought that the ending in the last book was really good so I did not really think that are needed to be a second book . I was really surprised by that I ended up liking this book after it is really nice to see how their relationship progressed after everything that happened and see the repercussions of the actions in the last book. I really like to see how the writing really did not change and it was a story that got taken along with a full plot after the way it ended in the last one. I really loved all the characters again and it was nice to finally see Johnny aka Dalton without the rockstar part of him. Through so many twists and turns in the story that I was surprised about which I did not expect just coming into the the story I just thought it was going to be one of those cheap knockoffs of of the first story. In the end I thought the story became beautiful and really great with the fact that Dalton still had demons to can find and to eradicate for the future he wanted with Holiday. Is really great to see him after he kind of over everything and kind of got everything out of him which is one thing I would definitely say if you've read the first book you would really look forward to. It really is also properly I self discovery novel instead of the romance and it really helps people see what can happen if you don't like self grieve properly. It also shows that when you give up you don't really get anything out of this life. Now one of the two things that I felt like it would need help on would be that there's a little bit too much drama with all the paparazzi, him partying too much and all the craziness that happens in the novel. I also did not like all the trust issues in the story, but after awhile you see that this is kinda needed for the plot to end the way that it did. Here is some quotes that I really liked in the book…..

Overall I really enjoyed it so I'm going to go to 4.75 out of 5 stars.

Review: Every Last Breath by Jennifer L. Armentrout - 5/5 stars

Every Last Breath - Jennifer L. Armentrout

Before Reading: Finally have this book but have to wait 2 weeks to see what happens.
And see who she chooses.

I am currently Team Roth. He is so freaking hott(Yes he is double t worthy).

After: Amazing book.

The winner is....

(show spoiler)

and I am very about who she chose this is the best couple I have read. With the powers for Layla and her family history it makes the story so much more intriguing. Now that we know Sam is gone Layla and Stacy go through depression and Roth is there for her. He shows just how sweet he truly is. Also there is a lot of familiar action.

With Layla getting one tattooed on her body and Roth having to give Bambi up (tears). I loved how it ended with Layla dying to kill the Lilith, but coming back to life. Now she has plans with Roth for eternity because she was never a demon.

Here are some Quotes...

I LOVED THIS ENDING IT WAS AMAZING.

Review: Mystery Man by Kristen Ashley - 4/5 stars

Mystery Man - Kristen Ashley

It was OK but it was just kinda weird in some of the dialog and it made some of it not make seance. Another thing was that Gwen was a bit clueless and annoying, but she made up for that in the end. Hawk just peeved me when he would just ignore Gwen. I loved all the Action and excitement. I just don't know if I will read the rest of the series.
