Review:Friend-Zoned by Belle Aurora -5/5 stars

Friend-Zoned - Belle Aurora

It was really cute. At first I thought it was going to be just sweet and just non violent, but that changed. At first you think the story will be like this ,but as time goes on its like this
and lotts and lots of huge
.
I was so shocked with how the story changed. By the end of the novel I could not believe what was happening. It was so adventuress, romantic and had a great family atmosphere. I loved all the characters except for the two protagonists Sissy and Omar who are crazy and mean people.I loved Tina because after what she had been through the last few years she is still so kind to everyone and has a heart of gold. Wont to read more of this authors books because this is the second book I have read and both I have rated 5/5 stars. Hopefully the next one is willing Captive that I read.

Goodreads Summery:

You would think after helping save her boyfriend from an eternity in Hell that things would go back to normal. Well, as normal as life can be when you can see souls and your boyfriend is Death. But for Pagan Moore, things are just getting weirder.

The high school quarterback and reigning heartthrob, Leif Montgomery, is missing. While the town is in a frenzy of worry, Pagan is a nervous wreck for other reasons. Apparently good ‘ol Leif isn’t your average teenage boy. He isn’t even human. According to Death, Leif doesn’t have a soul. The quarterback may have skipped town but he’s still showing up in Pagan’s dreams... uninvited.

Dank has known from the beginning Leif wasn’t human. But he hadn’t worried about a simple soulless creature. Now, he realizes he made a grave mistake. Pagan’s soul has been marked since birth as a restitution, to a spirit so dark not even Death walks near it. Dank knows saving Pagan’s soul won’t be easy but Pagan is his. And he’s already proven he’ll defy Heaven to keep her. If Hell wants a piece of him too, then bring it on.

My Review:

Now the second book it is crazy because of all these dreams Pagan has been having that Leif has sent so he can have her.  Leif in this book is creepy from showing up randomly around her and watching her. Then he brings her gifts for Valentines day, Dude get the message she does not like you. He also kidnaps her so he can talk to her. Overall he is just creepy. Her past has also been revealed. The link between Pagan and Leif is that he believes she belongs to him because his father(king of Voodoo) saved her life when she was dying of leukemia. Also in dreams Leif is the boy who has helped her throughout the last 15 years. I feel bad for Pagan because of everything she has to go through With Creepy, Soulless Leif, her love for Death and balancing her school life with her personal life. This book really shows the changes in the relationship between Dank and Pagan and how it has evolved from the first book and the changes in her friendship with Gee. I liked there was the twist of having voodoo in the story that actually took place in New Orleans and the King of Voodoo. So it was really sad when Wyatt died and that really messed up Pagan. Once again though Abbi Glines gives us a huge cliffhanger and leaves us wanting to be the next book immediately. I really enjoyed this book and I rated it 5 out of 5.

Favorites of the Month: March

White Hot Kiss - Jennifer L. Armentrout Maybe Someday - Colleen Hoover Don't Look Back - Jennifer L. Armentrout Lucky Girl - Emme Rollins

These are my favorites of the month. So each month I will rundown of favorite moments, books and other things I have to talk about.

  • Favorite Book: This is a really hard question. I then narrowed it down to three books. Two of them were - The Redemption of Callie & Kayden (The Coincidence, #2) by  Jessica Sorensen and Predestined (Existence Trilogy, #2)by Abbi Glines. These were also great books, but I chose White Hot Kiss (The Dark Elements, #1) by Jennifer L. Armentrout. I love this book. I love the plot. The fact that they involved demons and gargoyles. The main character Layla is amazing. She can really fight, is funny and I love the way she sees the world. Also one of the love interests is Roth. Roth is really hot, smart and can fight.  Did I mention he is a demon. It’s complex, romantic and Magical.
  • Favorite Female Character: This for me was a no brainier Layla from White Hot Kiss and Stone Cold Touch by Jennifer L. Armentrout as I said about her she is a fighter, supper funny and she has a cool way of thinking. She also is cool because she is a half-breed. I can’t wait to read how her story ends.
  •  Favorite Sequel: Fractured by Sydney Landon would be my choice. I really enjoyed the first book. I really can’t say much but it is a really sad story. It is so emotional and I love it. Warning: Bring tissues for feels.
  • Favorite Start of a Series:  Maybe Someday by Hoover, Colleen- I really love this book it really pulled on my heartstrings and it I love how it deal with different issues and disabilities that people deal with everyday I love the characters how they interact with each other and having music was in the story. Something I thought was really cool about this book was that that she showed the lyrics in the song that he writing it and it is really cool to see that.
  • Favorite Standalone:  Don't Look Back by Jennifer L. Armentrout- I really love this book it was an action thriller/ mystery. I was really hesitant to read it first since it was a mystery unlike anything else I've ever read her. Everything else I've read by her was either a fantasy book or a romance book I really did not know how it's going to turn out for me. In the end I really enjoy it with the total mystery aspect made me want to know more until the end of the book can you find out who killed Cassie and what happened when they disappeared honestly it was such a good story it had a really good plot line it just melted so well together I really did not expect a lot of the turns in the book there's also the romance and hurt his self discovery part that really made the book whole.
  • Favorite Cover: Don't Look Back by Jennifer L. Armentrout - If you guys have ever seen this cover it is so pretty has a brown hues, the ballerina and the broken mirror. It really fits the story because the dancer is like looking back and the story is about her than try to look back and see what happened but there's a lot that happened and she should not look back as people keep on saying it was bad. She does it anyway and there's a lot of consequences which I think really shows up in the cover it made the book so much more entertaining as it really showed what I was about. It also enticed me to read the book because it made it seem much more like a mystery then I thought I was going to be.
  • Favorite last book of a Series: Lucky Girl (Dear Rockstar, #2) by Rollins, Emme- What can I say about this book it was really entertaining to read I mean the characters were really broken down family and it made me think how lucky of a life I had. There was a little difficult kind of like girl meets boy having a story but is still really good story how I became a rockstar and a secret like family in the ending was pretty typical but it made me feel so warm and fuzzy inside. I found it making me wish I could read it again and again.
  • Favorite Author: Jennifer L. Armentrout - Obviously I have to give us to her this month forever books and I liked all of them. From finishing the Lux series final book opposition. Which I found really cool with the aliens and everything.  The one thing I do not like about the book was the romance Katy and Damon together. Then I read don't look back. Loved it as I said above. Finally I read the first 2 books in her darkest elements series which I find so much more appealing than Lux series. So later this year I plan on reading more of her books.

Review: Existence By Abbi Glines

By Abbi Glines Existence (Volume 1) [Paperback] - Abbi Glines

Goodreads summary of Existence-

What happens when you're stalked by Death? You fall in love with him, of course.

Pagan Moore doesn't cheat Death, but instead, falls in love with him.

Seventeen year old Pagan Moore has seen souls her entire life. Once she realized the strangers she often saw walking through walls were not visible to anyone else, she started ignoring them. If she didn't let them know she could see them, then they left her alone. Until she stepped out of her car the first day of school and saw an incredibly sexy guy lounging on a picnic table, watching her with an amused smirk on his face. Problem is, she knows he's dead.

Not only does he not go away when she ignores him, but he does something none of the others have ever done. He speaks. Pagan is fascinated by the soul. What she doesn't realize is that her appointed time to die is drawing near and the wickedly beautiful soul she is falling in love with is not a soul at all.

He is Death and he's about to break all the rules.

So going into this book I was a bit hesitant because I had read The Vincent Boys which is the first book in the The Vincent Boys series and the story did not live up to my expectations. Then I read the first two books in the Too Far trilogy/ first two  books in the Rosemary Beach series. I loved it, I loved  everything about. It is now one of my favorite trilogies. Another reason I was weary about this book because it is a bit of a fantasy book, with voodoo and ghosts.  Instead I ended up liking so much that it is now another favorite book.

One thing I love in this book is the fantasy/supernatural  aspect. With the fact that Pagan can see ghosts is just the beginning. There are many different things she deals with such as deities from heaven and hell. Also there is death who shows her the importance of life and death.

The characters and their relationships are another reason I love this trilogy. Our main character is Pagan Moore who is a high school student who can see ghosts and they don't talk back but one does. She has to deal with high school and secrets about her past and those around her. There is her best friends Miranda & Wyatt who are super supportive since they were little. Whyatt and Miranda have a super complicated history because they have dated on and off for a while. There is Leif Montgomery a classmate of Pagan’s who is super popular who Pagan tutors throughout the first book. He also shows interest in Pagan and also has a huge secret. Then there is the super hot guy that moves to town and shakes up her life even more. Dank Walker is singer of the popular band Cold Soul and he also resembles the ghost that visits Pagan is that the coincidence?

For the first book was Amazing intro to world with meeting Dank and his life. Then how she introduced pagans life and relationships were amazing. How she has Pagan fall for death is amazing. Then how Pagan likes Leif and dates him only to pine for Dank. I loved the scene at the end where Gee is there and It could be the end of the world. Finally Pagan chose Death and admits she loves him. So her and Dank reunite after Pagan thought he was gone. When she returns to school to break up with Leif he has gone missing. Dank tells Pagan that he is not who she thinks he is. He is an evil voodoo prince who has no soul. OK when I finished this book I about had a panic attack because the cliffhanger with Leif being evil. I never saw it coming. Then Gee being good, instead of the crazy schizophrenic we thought she was and they became unexpected friends. I love how Pagan escapes destiny of her death and how it happens multiple times. I also loved just the beginning of their relationship the kind of l like you, but I see a ghost like you so I will keep my distance to I love you Dank even though you are Death and I hate when people die.

(show spoiler)

I really enjoyed this book. I would recommend this book for any one who likes Abbi Glines and if you like story's about ghosts, evil spirits and Death himself. If you like Abbi Glines, but are hesitant don't be this book is just as good as her others. Overall a 4.5 out of 5 stars.

Favorites and Least Favorites of the Month:

These are my favorite and least favorites of the month. So each month I will rundown of favorite and least favorite moments, books and other things I have to talk about.

  • Favorite Book: Alienated (Alienated, #1) by Landers, Melissa
  • Favorite Female Character:  Ivy Westfall/Lattimer  from The Book of Ivy (The Book of Ivy, #1) by Engel, Amy because we are so alike with our hobbies, thoughts about dressing up, and other things.
  • Favorite Male Character: Prince Alexander from Conquer Me (Royals Saga, #2) by Lee, Geneva. He may be a possessive, argent and a bit selfish, but really has good qualities too.
  • Favorite Sequel: All That Burns (All That Glows, #2) by Graudin, Ryan because I still love the characters, plot, and magical aspects.
  • Favorite Start of a Series: That is a really hard question because last month I read a lot of new series. So for this category I will pick either
  • Favorite Standalone: I only read one stand alone and I did not like it so there is no winner this month.
  • Favorite Cover:  Alienated (Alienated, #1) by Landers, Melissa  because it is super pretty with the vibrant colors. Also it shows how the two worlds are and it's so eye catching.
  • Least Favorite Book:Everlasting (Everlasting Love Series Book 1) by Stone, Nora The story was so bland and predictable. The main characters were so annoying and the writing was a little flat.
  • Least Favorite Female Character: Christina Riley from Everlasting (Everlasting Love Series Book 1) by Stone, Nora as I said she is just really annoying.
  • Least Favorite Male Character: Travis Maxwell from  from Everlasting (Everlasting Love Series Book 1) by Stone, Nora as I said he is annoying and
    He IS A DRUG DEALER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    (show spoiler)
  • Least Favorite Sequel: None I really liked the sequels I read.
  • Least Favorite Start of a Series: So I don’t sound like a broken record I will say Kissed by Moonlight (Wild Hunt, #1) by Brooks, Adrianne because I found this book really annoying, though I saw potential thats why I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 star.
  • Least Favorite Standalone: None
  • Least Favorite Cover: I have to say the cover of How to Ruin a Summer Vacation(How To Ruin #1) by Elkeles, Simone  was the worst The cover has a girl in pink pants and she has a suitcase. I don’t understand  why she has pink pants and I honestly would have never picked up this version of the book if I had not red what it was about. I would have liked the other version better.

For the first part I plan to blog at least once a week but, I don’t know with school. For now I just finished my finals today so I should do better right now. Then if I miss a week or a few weeks when I get back I will post what I missed. Then for the top ten/ top five lists I plan on posting them on either Wednesdays or Thursdays.

Challenge #3 Zodiac Book Challenge…..

This challenge is based off of the Chinese Zodiac Calender.

So there are nine categories- The Horse, Goat, Monkey, Dog, Rat, Ox, Tiger, Dragon and Snake. First is the Horse so to read a book with a famous character such as a billionaire or a actor. Then for the Goat read a book that is not in the county you live in. Monkey is to read a book that others say is funny. Dog is read a book that has troubled romance(really any YA book). Rat this has to do with reading a book with a lesson in it or where you learn something in it.  Ox this part has to do with a book with a shy character. The tiger has to do with a challenge to you. So this is kind of like a wild card or one you can chose. For this challenge I chose read a historical fiction novel. Dragon is read a paranormal/fantasy novel. The snake challenge is read a book with less then a hundred pages. I found this challenge and thought it would be supper fun to do.
Horse-Love Unscripted by Tina Reber- main male character: Ryan Christensen who is a movie star.

Goat- Conquer Me by Geneva Lee- The story takes place in England and the main male character is the oldest prince of England.

Monkey- Wallbanger by Alice Clayton- I heard this book was good and super funny. I totally agree with that.

Dog - Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover-

Rat-

Ox-

Tiger-

Dragon-
